About the Role
East End Baptist Church is a 134-year-old spiritually dynamic congregation located in
Southeastern Virginia. We are seeking a self-motivated, innovative, people-oriented team
member with an affinity for children, youth, and young adults. Demonstrated strong leadership
and administrative skills are a must for this constantly evolving and increasingly diverse church.
The successful candidate will have an opportunity to demonstrate their creativity and
understanding of the opportunities and challenges facing our Millennials, Generation Z, and
Alpha generations by initiating and maintaining a comprehensive strategy aimed at reaching
and increasing our church’s relationship and connection with these groups.
Job Responsibilities & Qualifications
- Evident relationship with Jesus Christ
- Bachelor’s Degree in theology, biblical studies and/or youth ministry
- Working knowledge of the Bible and Baptist apologetics
- Excellent computer skills and proficiency with social media and digital platforms
- Previous youth ministry experience
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Leadership experience
- Available to work extended hours, evenings, weekends, etc. and on short notice
